KNITTING WITH GLASS - Seattle-based artist, Carol Milne will share her secret ‘knitted glass’ technique.   We will start by knitting or forming strands of dimensional wax into art. You will then learn to transform the wax into glass using the lost-wax casting process.  You'll learn all aspects of casting: wax-working, spruing waxes, mold-making, kiln schedules, divesting and cold-working.  NO PRIOR KNOWLEDGE OF KNITTING IS REQUIRED.  All levels are welcome, but beginners should be prepared to be challenged.

This class will go up on the CMOG website in mid-Decemter.  They fill their summer and winter intensive classes by way of a random selection lottery and the deadline to get applications in online is set for March 15th.  E-mails are sent out by the end of March notifying applicants if they got into the classes they applied for.
